Dr. Priya and the LHCD Smile Squad are here to give you some basic oral health reminders to help celebrate the New Year. We all know life gets crazy, and sometimes we get off track. So let’s use today as a restart to refresh our oral health with these easy reminders.

  1. Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, especially before going to bed. Make brushing fun by incorporating music or timers into your daily routine.
  2. Floss daily! Especially at night time. Flossing at night helps to remove any food that was eaten during the day from in between our teeth. If you have a hard time flossing your child’s teeth try to have them lay down and open wide, it makes it easier.
  3. Eat healthy snacks! Try to reduce sugary drinks and food as much as possible. Eat more fruits and vegetables and as always, we recommend drinking more water.
  4. Make sure to visit our office regularly. Did you know that it is recommended to get a professional cleaning and checkup every six months? We whaley love catching up with our patients during this time as well.

As always, we are here for you at Little Harpeth Children’s Dentistry to answer any questions you may have or show you proper techniques if needed. If you have not scheduled your check up with us for the New Year, call us today!
