Halloween bat graphic: Don’t forget to floss your fangs.

We love Halloween fun, but we love your sweet smiles even more! To keep cavities away, let’s play a game of Candy Match:

  • The Good Guys (Melters): Plain chocolate! Did you know chocolate melts quickly without leaving a gooey mess behind on your teeth?
  • The Bad Guys (Stickies): Gummy, sour, and sticky candies. They hide in the deep grooves of your chewing surfaces and try to cause cavities!

The Smile Squad Plan:

  1. Sort your bag and separate the chocolate.
  2. Ditch the sticky, gummy treats (we recommend donating them to a local food bank!).
  3. Enjoy your chocolate treats in moderation for a few days.
  4. Defeat the sugar bugs by brushing and flossing twice a day, especially before bed!

Fun Fact: Dr. Priya’s favorite Halloween candy is M&M’s.
