About Dr. Priya Purohit, DDS, MSD

Priya Purohit, DDS, MSD, is a board-certified pediatric dentist serving patients at Little Harpeth Children’s Dentistry™ in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Purohit completed her general dental training and pediatric subspecialty training at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, one of the pre-eminent dental education institutes in the United States, graduating summa cum laude.

She is one of the few pediatric dental providers in the greater Nashville area to receive board certification in her field and national Diplomate status, assuring patients and their families that they will receive the best care possible.

Before moving to Nashville, Dr. Purohit enjoyed a successful practice in Springfield, Illinois, where she was heavily involved with patient care and shaping policies that helped guide other dentists in the field.

She was the first pediatric dentist to serve on Southern Illinois University School of Medicine’s Plastic Surgery Cleft, Lip, and Palate Craniofacial team (ranked #2 in the USA).

Dr. Purohit was a member of several regional and statewide dental organizations, served as president of the local chapter of the Illinois State Dental Society, and received the Sullivan Leadership Award upon her term from the state board.

In addition, Dr. Purohit spent much of her time with various community organizations, serving on the board of several charitable events, including the March of Dimes and St. Judes Hospital fundraisers.

After moving to Nashville, Dr. Purohit spent some time as faculty training dental residents for New York University in a pediatric dental residency program. Since her tenure there, she has trained over a dozen pediatric dentists in the latest techniques in oral sedation, hospital dentistry, and clinical practices.

Dr. Purohit uses in-office Nashville Office-Based Anesthesia (NOBA) and the Tennessee Surgery Center and looks forward to serving as Bellevue’s local pediatric dentist.
